Carmine Leo, CEC, PCC
If you want to change your life, change what you feel.
Emotional Literacy and Emotional Intelligence are the key. Decades of behavioral decision research has consistently shown that emotions, more than any other contributing factor, are what motivate us to act. Every decision we make, every choice to act or not act is determined by our intention to manage our feelings in one way or another. This is the single pivot point upon which rests our entire experience of the quality of our life.
"Low self-esteem is a 'doing' wound. We don't believe or feel we are capable and competent.
Low self-worth is a 'being' wound. We don't feel worthy of love and respect, from ourselves or from others.
Both have profound consequences for how we live our lives, for how we treat ourselves and how we treat others.
The remedies for low self-esteem and low self-worth are both similar and unique, and truthfully, they are not that difficult to repair. Together they create the foundation for the presence or absence of that essential confidence we need to venture forth into the world and create the lives we want and deserve."
I know that whatever the reasons by which you come to me, your goals and objectives are as unique and specific to you as they have been for every client with whom I have ever worked, and at the same time, those goals are universal and common to us all.
You want to build your career, or you want better relationships with your family and loved ones. You want more confidence, or you want to manage your time more effectively. You want less stress and a better sense of direction about your place in the world. You want to know that you matter, that what you do makes a difference for the people you care about. You want to be happy, you want peace and contentment and connection. Maybe you want all of those things. Yep, you and me both.
I have worked with hundreds of clients over the last thirty years, and without exception, I have found that we are all just trying to manage the quality of our experience of life. We just want to get our needs met and we want to feel good about it. That's why you're here on this page, isn't it? You have the hope and the faith that the quality of your experience of life can be different from what it has been in the past. You know it's possible. You just aren't quite certain about how to get there from here. I understand.
I will listen to you and treat you with the respect, compassion and understanding that you deserve. I know that the stuff that isn't working in your life, whatever it might be that upsets you, whatever places you might get stuck, these challenges, obstacles and difficulties are all neon signs pointing directly at our most important life lessons. Most of us just lack the key to understanding and integrating these experiences, so that we can become free to choose and create what we want for ourselves.
I can help you with that. This is what I do best, and I absolutely love that I get to do this work with all kinds of different people. But please remember, I act only as an agent for your empowerment. This work is about YOU, your choice, your power, your life, your being. No one can do this work for you but you. If you want to make your life work, then it would be an honor and a privilege for me to be your companion, partner and ally on your journey to freedom.
Do you feel any resonance with this? Do you recognize something true about your life in what I've said so far? If so, then trust yourself, be courageous and open the door to possibility. Contact me and let's find out if working with me is your next step.
"Change is hard because that which changes is ephemeral - we are changing illusion from one form to another. That within us which is eternal and infinite needs no change, as it is perfect already. When we are awake to that perfect source within us, the downstream result is that we perceive the ephemeral as perfect also, that there is complete congruence between inner and outer. We live in awe and grace then, and we simply love one another. We live effortlessly, being neither the doer nor the done to. The question is, how do we access that inner perfect source, that authentic Self within us? Where is the doorway, and who holds the key?"
Without exception, my clients want:
Influence instead of impotence
Occasionally, someone will ask me why people choose to work with a life coach. And though my clients come to me for many different stated reasons, it all boils down to one common truth:
Every day, through our thoughts, feelings, choices, words and actions, we are manifesting the life we have right now. We are all doing the very best we can with what we know and what we have. If we could do better, we certainly would. We simply want to improve the quality of our experience of life. What keeps us from doing that, what is missing, is the necessary information, resources and support to get our needs met in a way that really works. Nobody ever taught us how to be very good at that!
We want to improve ourselves. We want to be better human beings today than we were yesterday. If we want to be more effective, if we want better relationships, if we want more satisfying work, if we want a different life, we need to think, feel and act in ways that produce different results. We need to use our power of present moment awareness to be our truest and best Self and make different choices from within that authentic space.
I have absolute faith in you. I know, with great certainty, that you already have the power within you to be fully present in this moment and choose differently to think, feel and act in ways that will create the life you want for yourself and will help you be that best person you came to this planet to be. I have seen these transformations time and time again as I work with my clients. All that is required is your internal commitment that yes, now is the time to begin.
